Confused about what myofunctional therapy is or wondering if it could help you? We are always happy to have a quick, complimentary, phone call to answer any of your questions.

Initial assessments are a critical part of treatment. We take measurements, pictures, observe, and listen to you. With all the information we create a “story” about you.

A typical assessment can range from 45 to 90 minutes. One to two weeks after we meet, you will receive a written treatment plan explaining all findings and recommendations. If there is any confusion interpreting the document or questions we are just a phone call away!

This assessment is limited to the frenums only (any of the soft tissue that attaches lips to jaws and tongue to the floor of the mouth). During the assessment we will measure, check range of motion, and ask you for a detailed list of signs and symptoms. This evaluation is often helpful as a second opinion or to confirm self speculation.
If needed we will help with referrals or communication with a release provider as well as scheduling pre-and post-release therapy.

Our frenectomy package gives support to anyone planning a frenectomy (lingual, buccal, or labial). We teach exercises to prepare you for the procedure and optimize healing and success. You can expect two sessions before your scheduled appointment and three sessions once you've had your first post-operative appointment (generally one to two days after your frenctomy).

Research has proven that a frenectomy without myofunctional therapy can result in reattachment of the tissue and/or scar tissue formation. If you are planning a frenectomy, this is a must!

If you are looking for an evaluation or second opinion of a perceived “tie,” we do a limited frenum evaluation for $100, which includes a write up of our findings with a diagnosis and correspondence or referral to a provider.
